Absentee Voting In-Person
BEGINS MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 21, 2026
ENDS SATURDAY, OCTOBER 31, 2026

You can vote absentee in-person in Mississippi if you:

  1. Are 65 years or older

  2. Are a student, teacher, or administrator whose work/studies require you to be away from your voting location on Election Day (includes spouses and dependents)

  3. Work for a Mississippi congressional member and must be away on Election Day (includes spouses and dependents)

  4. Will be away from your county for any reason on Election Day

  5. Have a physical disability that makes voting in person difficult or dangerous

  6. Are caring for someone with a physical disability who is hospitalized outside your municipality or more than 50 miles away


IF YOU ARE ELIGIBLE, YOU CAN VOTE ABSENTEE IN- PERSON AT YOUR CIRCUIT CLERK’S OFFICE. ABSENTEE VOTING IS AVAILABLE NOW THROUGH SATURDAY, OCTOBER 31, 2026 . 

Absentee Voting By Mail

You can vote absentee by mail in Mississippi if you:

  1. Are temporarily residing outside of your county of residence (mail ballot to that outside address)

  2. Have a disability that makes voting in person difficult or dangerous

  3. Are caring for a disabled family member who is hospitalized far from home

  4. Are age 65 or older

  5. Are incarcerated but not convicted of a crime that removes voting rights

 

PLEASE CALL YOUR CIRCUIT CLERK TO APPLY FOR AN ABSENTEE MAIL BALLOT. YOUR MAIL ALLOT MUST BE POSTMARKED BY ELECTION DAY AND RECEIVED BY THE CIRCUIT CLERK WITHIN 5 BUSINESS DAYS OF ELECTION DAY. SEE BELOW FOR CONTACT INFORMATION. â€‹
