Three Questions Tate Reeves Must Answer At Tonight’s Debate

Jackson, MS – Following four years of failed policies Tate Reeves must answer these three questions at tonight’s debate: 

• Why does Tate Reeves refuse to expand Medicaid despite the fact that expansion would keep our rural hospitals open, deliver health care for more than 200,000 Mississippians, produce as many as 20,000 new good-paying jobs, and add an additional $212 million over four years to the state general fund?

• Why does Tate Reeves refuse to cut the car tag fee and the country’s highest grocery tax but gave himself a nearly $40,000 raise? 

• Why was $77 million dollars lost, stolen, or squandered on Tate Reeves’ watch while he was in charge of oversight on the State Senate? And why did Tate fire the independent investigator looking into the welfare scandal when the investigator started getting too close to the truth about the stolen funds??
