Outrageous!

While Barbour is out of state raising money, he goes ahead and lets the state head toward disaster:

Barbour, who is campaigning for fellow Republicans out of state this week, said he is dissatisfied with a provision that prevents him from making cuts within the health care program to balance its budget. The new fiscal year begins in one week, and Barbour has said he won’t schedule a special session to resolve the budget unless an agreement is reached with the House, Senate and himself.

It’s obvious that the governor wants to cut hospital spending on July 2, as soon as he can. When he does that, the state of health care in Mississippi will worsen.

But he doesn’t care. He’s headed to Washington, one way or another. (And the sooner the better, I might add.)
