Because, really, Gov. Barbour the voters are who you want in the dark when it comes to your political games:

Gov. Haley Barbour has not issued an official proclamation for a special session to address the issue, but several lawmakers from both the House and Senate took to social networking sites, such as Facebook and Twitter, over the weekend to announce it will begin at 10 a.m. Friday. Others confirmed those plans Monday.

Barbour spokesman Dan Turner said he did not know when the session would be held or when the governor would issue a proclamation. Monday was a state holiday.

It’s not like Mississippi consumers need protection from energy companies who overcharge them or telemarketers who annoy them.
